New Ideas for Shelters and Rescuers
Our mission is to bring new strategies to the rescue arena - new ways to connect shelter dogs (and other shelter orphans) with adopters. Our strategy is to bring the tools and disciplines used in building lifestyle brands, and retail and ecommerce businesses, of brandfocus is on marketing, communication, and community. building new tools that create visibility, engagement, and thus, save lives.
Our founding research confirmed two key facts: that there is a large latent community of adopters, interested in saving at-risk animals; and that shelters, with stretched resources, need new strategies, resources, and partnership to connect with that community.
Our mission is be that partner, and to close that gap. With new support and new kinds of outreach. Our goal is for Save Marcus to be known as a hub for innovation and support, offering scaleable strategies that can be widely adopted.
A Foundation
Of Research
Save Marcus is driven by research on the needs in the rescue ecosystem. We sponsored a team of graduate students at Eller College of Business at the University of Arizona, through the Business Consulting Program run by the Corporate Partnerships Office, along with their faculty advisers, to collect data, identify needs, and recommend strategies. Our partnership has yielded new insights which, together with our ongoing work, will inspire new solutions.

We provide innovation, information, and support for shelters in marketing and outreach. Developing new ideas; collecting data on what works and what doesn't; and sharing what we learn. And - in the process - creating a deeper conversation about marketing opportunities and efficacy.
We develop new strategies for rescue owners to create visibility and engage their friends and neighbors to be rescuers. Volunteering needs to go beyond the shelter doors - finding new ways to be a community advocate. To engage your friends, to generate more adoptions.
There is enormous latent support and goodwill for businesses that support animal rescue. (And, virtually no bad will, too). Our partnership strategies leverage the power and reach of existing brands and businesses to galvanize publicity, support, and adoptions.
